Admissions audits
The admissions department or Registrar is your school’s ‘shop front’. It is the prospective parent’s first port of call when making an enquiry. This first experience with the school will make a significant impact on whether the parent then decides to subsequently visit and beyond. How the admissions personnel handle prospective parents at this stage and immediately after is crucial. Ingenious Marketing will examine the entire process from initial telephone calls to acceptance of offers. We will review how key admissions staff handle enquiries and how efficiently follow-up is then implemented. This process will usually require us to be at the school for 5 days. You will receive a full report with observations and recommendations for improvement.
Communication Audits All schools operate across a range of media (from websites, to dvds, digital printing, advertising to email). With so much choice there need to be ways to assess, plan and budget communication. • Is your printed communication to parents cohesive, or do different departments use their own fonts, styles and headed paper?
• Do the prospectus, website and dvd (if you have one) reflect the same design ideals?
• Are your members of staff emailing parents? If so, are they using appropriate language and information?
• Does your school have a password protected website which parents, pupils and staff can all access for information?
Ingenious Marketing will examine all formal communication currently taking place between the school and (prospective, current and former) parents, pupils and staff – looking at the quality and frequency of the communication, the medium used and the nature of what is being said. We will also examine how the budget is distributed between these different groups.
