Telephone research
Telephone research is an excellent means of gaining a deeper insight into specific issues which may have been raised during focus groups or anecdotal issues which require substantiating.
Ingenious marketing can advise on the size of sample and create the questions in consultation with you. Once the questions are agreed, the next steps are:
- For the school to write to a broad sample informing them about the research
- Ingenious Marketing then select respondents from the broad sample to ensure anonymity and confidentiality
- Our interviewers contact the respondents and either conduct the interview or make an appointment to call back if respondents prefer a more convenient time; this could include an evening or weekend call
Popular surveys, which can feed in to your schools’ marketing programme include:
New and Non Joiner survey - to assist marketing strategy for pupil recruitment at your school by investigating the reasons why parents did and did not choose to send their child(ren) to the school.
Leavers’ Survey - inform marketing activity to improve retention into a particular section of the school - e.g. the Sixth Form, by exploring parent and pupil attitudes leading up to that stage.
‘Issue-specific’ surveys - to explore in depth, certain factors which are an issue for any or all of your key stake holders, based on earlier research, focus groups or anecdotal evidence.
